Dicyclopentadiene (DCPD) is the workhorse C5 diolefin intermediate: it upgrades unsaturated polyester resins, builds hydrocarbon resins and enables EPDM elastomer chemistry.

1. Modification of unsaturated polyester resins for improved heat and corrosion resistance.
2. Raw material for DCPD-based and C5/C9 hydrocarbon resins (inks, adhesives, tires).
3. ENB intermediate and comonomer for EPDM elastomer production.
4. Pesticide, fragrance and specialty intermediate chemistry.
5. High-octane fuel additive component.
