Epoxypropane

Epoxypropane (propylene oxide, PO) is a low-boiling, highly reactive epoxide and the gateway chemical to polyether polyols, propylene glycol and glycol ethers.

1. Feedstock for polyether polyols used in rigid and flexible polyurethane foams.
2. Production of propylene glycol and dipropylene glycol.
3. Raw material for glycol ethers, surfactants and flame retardants.
4. Intermediate for propoxylated amines and oil-field chemicals.
5. Fumigant and specialty sterilization formulations.
