Propylene Glycol

Propylene glycol (1,2-propanediol) is a low-toxicity glycol with excellent solvency, hygroscopicity and freeze-protection performance. Its favorable safety profile makes it the glycol of choice for applications with human contact, while industrial grades serve resins and fluids.

1. Functional fluid in food- and pharma-grade antifreeze, coolant and heat-transfer formulations (USP grades available on request).
2. Humectant, solvent and carrier in cosmetics, personal care and flavor formulations.
3. Raw material for unsaturated polyester resins and alkyd paints.
4. Plasticizer and wetting agent in tobacco, pet-food and feed applications.
5. De-icing fluid and hydraulic-brake fluid component; drying and anti-dust agent.
