Sodium laureth sulfate (SLES) is an anionic surfactant with excellent performance. The molecular formula is C12H26Na2O5S, a light yellow viscous liquid, easily soluble in water, with excellent cleaning, emulsification and foaming properties. It has good thickening properties and foaming ability. It is commonly used in daily chemical industries such as liquid detergents, table detergents, shampoos, and bath detergents, and is also used in textiles, papermaking, leather, machinery, and oil extraction. In cosmetics, SLES is somewhat irritating and is not suitable for long-term use on sensitive skin and dry skin.
